Pilko praises Megan Gale for speaking out

1 min read

Tony Pilkington has heaped praise on model and mother Megan Gale who has spoken publicly about a miscarriage she suffered in May last year.

Megan told InStyle magazine she had to fly overseas immediately after learning she had miscarried.

“There have been plenty of times in my life I’ve had to suck things up — but this was the most challenging time I’ve had to do that,” she said.

“I came home from having a procedure, hugged my boy for a few hours and had to pack a bag and go. Not being around loved ones was really hard.”

Pilko took issue with a FIVEAA listener who said Gale should not have discussed her miscarriage publicly.

“My God, lady — you’re missing the point altogether,” he said. “One in four women suffer a miscarriage. Get with it, wake up to yourself.”

“I’m just full of admiration fro Megan Gale… the fact that she’s prepared to talk about it, give it the publicity that it deserves.”

Pilko spoke with Dr Dee McCormack from the Women’s and Children’s.
