But now there are suggestions perhaps the video was fake...

Appearing on TV in the US, the boys’ mother Kayli Shoff was adamant the close call was genuine.

“I run downstairs, fling open the door, I had heard nothing... I just opened the door and they're quietly playing in their room in the corner,” she said.

“We went back and looked at the video because it records all movement, I pulled it up and watched it and we already knew they were OK...

“My heart dropped as you can imagine, and I'm like how could this happen? So I'm watching it for like a minute and a half watching it unfold and then Bowdy does what he did and I was just like… We couldn't believe it, we thought he would be hurt.”

But others have pointed to some irregularities they say suggests the vid is a scam…

Number one, it turns out the boys’ dad works for the company behind the camera that caught the incident.

“It’s ironic that it actually worked at my house that we caught something like that,” Mr Shoff said in his TV interview.

Others suggest it’s a little strange the drawers have nothing in them and that no one came in to see what the (presumably) loud noise was when the drawers crashed…
