Monster gator spotted walking through wildlife park

1 min read

A group of tourists spotted a giant alligator making its way through a reserve in Florida, USA, on the weekend.

Estimates suggest the gator is about 3.6 metres — or 12 feet long.

Amazingly this would still put it some way behind the largest alligator ever spotted in Florida, which was 4.3 metres — more than 14 feet!

One of the gobsmacked onlookers told a US news outlet what it was like watching the animal creep by:

“He looks almost prehistoric, and just watching his feet flop as they hit the ground was amazing,” Kristi Buckley said.
