With Australia Day just around the corner and patriotism at an all time high, Melbourne musician Terry Mann aka Coach Bombay has given us a new unofficial national anthem.
The anthem is a rework of Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya’.
The track is aptly titled ‘Straya’ and features some ripper iconography of our Aussie culture with obligatory boxing roos, Sydney Harbour Bridge and backyard cricket, but also with some delightful LOL inspiring dance moves from Midnight Oil’s Peter Garrett and our beer swilling once-upon-a-time Prime Minister Bob Hawke.
