The Sydney Swans picked up Tyrone Leonardis at pick 51 in the AFL Draft on Tuesday and were immediately made aware of an embarrassing Facebook gaffe made by the youngster.
Leonardis had liked Facebook pages insulting to Swans champion Adam Goodes, including “Adam Goodes for Flog of the Year” and “Adam Goodes for W***er of the Year”.

Sydney football boss Tom Harley said the club had immediately been told of the Facebook faux paus.
“We have spoken to Ty and he is really disappointed,” Harley said.
“They were groups he joined in February and he is really apologetic. It is a really good reminder of the pitfalls of social media. It is not ideal but he is unbelievably apologetic.
“He is feeling really bad and it is a conversation we will pick up with him when he arrives.
“It is a really tangible example of the dangers of social media.”
But Swans fans weren’t all so forgiving, with some venting on the club’s Facebook page:
