Injured Adelaide Crows captain Rory Sloane says some inspiring audio books have helped him pass the time as he recovers from an eye injury…
LISTEN HERE:
Sloane told Rowey’s Sports Show:
“A couple of audio books have got me through. I haven’t watched much TV or anything – just de-strain the eyes.
“There’s an absolute cracker called ‘Extreme Ownership’. The guy’s name is Jocko Willink, he’s a Navy SEAL… that’s one of my favourite books.
“Think Like a Monk’ I’ve listened to, which was really insightful – different way of thinking… how can you carry all the learning a monk has into your everyday life.
“And the last one is ‘Shoe Dog’ – the Phil Knight story on Nike…”
And if he had to pick one? “Go ‘Extreme Ownership’. For people out there listening in management roles, leadership roles, or just lack a bit of motivation I think that’s a great book.”
