Reports Carlton And Adelaide Have Agreed On A Deal For Eddie Betts

1 min read

The Adelaide Crows have reportedly agreed to a deal that will see star forward Eddie Betts return to his old club for next year.

According to News Ltd:

Eddie Betts will be a Carlton player within days on a one-year deal that is expected to see the Blues part with pick 47 to regain their former cult hero.

Carlton and Adelaide have agreed to terms on the deal which will see Betts sign a contract that Adelaide will contribute towards financially.

Betts is expected to sign a deal that will see him reap over $400,000, of which Adelaide will contribute around six figures.

They will secure pick 47, with Betts accepting of the single-season offer despite ideally wanting a two-year commitment.

He had another year to run on his Adelaide contract and was set to be paid as much as $600,000 by the Crows.

But they have done the right thing by Betts, who is keen to get back to Melbourne to be closer to his partner’s family.
