Port Adelaide has announced it “regrets to announce” Robbie Gray has been withdrawn from its squad for the inaugural AFLX tournament in Adelaide tonight.
Jack Watts will captain in place of Gray, who has a sore adductor.
“We assessed him again this morning and, given the time of year and his importance for the season ahead, we decided not to risk him tonight,” Port’s Ian McKeown said.
Four other players have also been withdrawn from the squad announced on Monday: Tom Clurey, Todd Marshall, Jasper Pittard and Trent McKenzie.
