FIVEAA’s Stephen Rowe says “there’s an ulterior motive” to the AFL’s plan to send the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide to Melbourne to play their Round 7 games.
Rowey told David & Will on Friday’s FIVEAA breakfast show:
“How’s the AFL sending the Crows and Port to Melbourne for Round 7. I can’t get my head around it, I’ve been scratching it all damn night. On no level can I understand this.
“It just doesn’t make sense. There’s an ulterior motive to this. There’s no doubt this July 20 date’s going to move and if you come back from Victoria you’re going to have to iso for 14 days and good on the premier for that. We don’t want Victorians here at this stage. We feel for them, we hope they get better and that is honest… this is a terrible disease.
“Why would they send our boys there? There’s an ulterior motive and here’s the thing: Crows after Round 6 have only got GWS to play, Port have only got Sydney to play. They’ve got to get teams into Melbourne so guess what, oh Port and Crows, why don’t you go to Melbourne.
“They go to Melbourne they’ll get stuck there… you just bloomin’ watch.”
