ESPN is reporting that Carlton star Bryce Gibbs’ management has met with the Adelaide Crows about a possible trade for the 27-year-old…
Adelaide’s premiership window as well as the pull of his home state were believed to be factors in Gibbs’ consideration of a move to the Crows, according to espn.com.au.
But the Herald Sun reports that Gibbs’ management has “flatly denied any contact with Adelaide”.
The Crows have also responded to the rumour, saying: “We don’t have any comment to make on trade rumours or innuendo.”
Gibbs was previously linked to the Crows in 2013 before re-signing with the Blues for another five years, reportedly for $600k per year.
Since then, Carlton has missed the top eight every year – finishing 13th, 18th and 14th.
