Adelaide Crows AFLW star Erin Phillips has suffered a “slight setback” and had surgery to repair a meniscal tear on her reconstructed knee.
According to the club:
Phillips felt some pain at training on Saturday morning before having the minor surgery on Wednesday.
Crows General Manager of Football Administration Phil Harper said incidents such as this are quite common after suffering an ACL injury.
“It’s a slight setback for Erin but it’s not uncommon to have minor irritations in returning to play after ACL reconstructive surgery,” Harper said.
Erin had previously revealed she was hoping to be ready for round 1 of the 2020 season.
