Nick Kyrgios has had another run in with Wimbledon officials, accusing American umpire Ali Nili of thinking he is “the top dog in the chair”.
The incident occurred during Kyrgios’ straight-sets win over Juan Monaco.
WATCH here:
Kyrgios is obviously unimpressed with Nili after a linesman went to the chair umpire to speak about Kyrgios. There are reports the linesman wanted to speak about the young Aussie’s on-court swearing.
Asked about his language, Kyrgios said: “I’m aware of what I’m saying. I’m in pain and I’m playing a tennis match at Wimbledon second round. A bit of stress out there. I guess that’s why he (linesman) did it (reported him).”
The latest incident comes after Kyrgios was cleared of calling umpires “dirty scum” in his first round match.
