Adelaide United assistant involved in alleged altercation

1 min read

The FFA is reportedly investigating an alleged altercation between Adelaide United and Brisbane Roar assistant coaches Jacobo Ramallo and Ross Aloisi following Adelaide’s win over Brisbane on Sunday.

Police were called to the tunnel at Hindmarsh Stadium, according to reports, where Ramallo required attention following a suspected run-in with Aloisi.

Police later said they were not aware of the incident.

“Tempers boiled over in the tunnel after the game,” Fox Sports reporter Daniel Garb said.

“The breaking news is that there has been an allegation of an incident between two of the assistant coaches — Ross Aloisi of the Brisbane Roar and Jacobo Ramallo of Adelaide United.

“This is pretty heavy news, we understand the FFA are investigating the matter. Allegations of an incident between the two assistant coaches.”

Ross’s brother and Brisbane coach John Aloisi can be seen in the foreground a photo tweeted by Front Page Football, which shows Ramallo on the ground in the background and receiving attention.

Tensions were high after Adelaide scored a 99th-minute winner from a penalty after Brisbane’s goalkeeper Michael Theo was sent off for striking Reds defender Dylan McGowan.
