Adelaide Crows AFLW premiership star Jess Foley says her retirement from footy will allow her to work fulltime as a doctor during the coronavirus crisis.
Jess told Rowey & Bicks on the FIVEAA sports show:“As soon as the coronavirus, the seriousness of it, and the burden that it’s having on the healthcare system became apparent it seemed like the right thing for me to do to concentrate on that fulltime… “Obviously there’s a bit going on in the world at the moment. To play women’s football you have to be willing to be pretty flexible in other parts of your life. “I’m a GP registrar and doctor as well so I was having to be flexible with my work, not working fulltime… the thought of having to go through all of that for the next year fulltime and not working in my vocation was probably the biggest factor for me.”LISTEN:
