Chelsea Randall and Erin Phillips will co-captain the Adelaide Crows AFLW team for the fourth straight year even though both are currently sidelined with injury.
Randall won’t take the field for the 2020 season after injuring her knee during pre-season, while Phillips’ return date from an ACL is yet to be confirmed.
Chelsea Randall has told the club’s website:
“It was overwhelming the belief that they have in me and I’m super proud to lead alongside Flip (Phillips) again,” Randall said.
“I will be able to provide some vital off-field leadership and more importantly be able to provide some guidance to our on-field leaders as well throughout the season.
“It’s an awesome opportunity for our emerging leaders and it’s exciting for them to be able to take on more responsibility on-field.”
Our 2020 captains have been announced, and they need no introduction… https://t.co/8n1ZG3Iw8m #weflyasone #crowsaflw pic.twitter.com/kmwn8oHS2c
