‘aa commentator puts his foot in it with Travis Boak

1 min read

FIVEAA’s David Wildy was paying tribute to captain Travis Boak after Port Adelaide’s win over West Coast on Sunday, but Boaky wasn’t so sure…

“I thought Boaky’s best game for the year,” Wilds said while introducing the Port captain. “He got the [??] legs back to running on top of the ground.”

Travis did a double take.

“Did you just call them old legs, did you mate?”

WILDS: “No, I said you’re legs were running on top of the ground…”

DID HE? LISTEN HERE:

Having cleared that up, Boak said he was happy to see the Power stand up under pressure.

“It’s always pleasing coming over to Perth and getting a win like that,” he said.

“I think we were down by 21 points at one stage… probably halfway through the second quarter I thought our mids lifted around the ball and that set the tone.

“We were able to go on from there and I thought we finished a lot better this week. That certainly helps.”
