Port Adelaide has reportedly given Chad Wingard permission to “shop himself around” as multiple Victorian clubs circle the star player.
According to the Herald Sun’s Sam Edmund:
“Port Adelaide have given him license to shop himself around for lack of a better word, to assess the market,” Edmund told SEN.
“To be frank, they don’t think he is worth the money he is asking.
“I think there’s figures upwards of seven figures here in Melbourne.
“I think a team like the Western Bulldogs, who have pick six and Jackson Trengove has been in really close contact with his old mate back there Chad Wingard … that was initially explained as they’ve been in touch because Jackson is getting engaged. We are led to believe that’s not the case.
“The Western Bulldogs are up to their eyeballs, as are Hawthorn.”
