Adelaide FC assistant coach Josh Francou has offered an upbeat assessment of Brodie Smith’s knee rehab.
Asked whether Smith was a chance of playing again by the end of 2018 season, Francou said “absolutely… definitely”.
“I’ve had a bit of a chat to him about it and how he’s going mentally and physically. He seems to be in really good spirits,” Francou told afl.com.au
“I think it was pre-Christmas when he stared running again… seeing him run was really nice. He’s progressing nicely.
“Clearly he’s not going top be available for the early games with his 12-month injury, but hopefully we can progress him down the track and who knows at the end of the season.”
