North Melbourne has reportedly offered Port Adelaide’s Jared Polec a lucrative deal for up to five years.
“There is a player who just played his 100th game on the weekend, his name is Jared Polec, he’s an Adelaide local,” Sam McClure told SEN.
“He’s in the middle of contract negotiations with Port Adelaide and is keen to stay, but there are a couple of Victorian clubs circling.
“The one well out in front is North Melbourne who have offered a long term deal in excess of $700,000 per season.
“At this stage, he’s more likely to stay, he’s very happy at Port Adelaide.
“As we’ve seen before, North Melbourne are not going to die wondering, they want good players and they’re having a crack.”
I think Jared Polec will stay at Port, but 5 x $700k at North is pretty tempting…
