Reports Adelaide Crows Will Get “Nowhere Near” What They Want For Mitch McGovern

The Adelaide Crows have been warned off playing so-called ‘hardball’ in their dealing over Mitch McGovern amid warnings they will get “nowhere near” what they are asking for the wantaway star.

Damian Barrett reports rival clubs feel McGovern is worth a late first round draft pick at best.

“They need to be careful, the Crows, on this. Back end first round, but more early second round,” Barrett told Trade Radio.

“A player who hasn’t played 50 games of footy, they dropped him twice this year, he doesn’t want to be there.

“He’s got a story to tell still about what happened to him during the past 12 months. They’ve got to take what they get and it’s nowhere near what they are asking for.”
