Adelaide Crows coach Don Pyke responds after Chris Fagan said he would “love to have” Charlie Cameron.
“Very disappointing, he’s under contract so he’s going nowhere,” Pyke said on Wednesday.
“It’s unusual you would see comments about players who are under contract.
“I don’t think it’s appropriate you talk about players at other clubs that are under contract.”
Fagan effectively confirmed on Tuesday that the Lions are keen on Cameron, who’s been the subject of some trade speculation.
“We are certainly interested in getting players to our club who can help us progress up the ladder,” he said on Melbourne radio.
“(Cameron’s) age profile and talent is something we are interested in.
“I’ll leave that to David Noble, but if Charlie Cameron is available and interested (in joining Brisbane), I’d love to have him.”
