Ollie Wines says he’s in no hurry to re-sign with Port Adelaide, but has hinted he expects to stay at the club.
“I’m pretty comfortable where I am,” Ollie has told SEN. “To get a trade these days you’ve got to be in a bit of strife or you’ve got to be looking for some extra coin. The club’s done everything right by me and my family — I guess it will only be a matter of time.”
“The old contract debate comes around every year for a lot of players and I’ve still got eight months left on mine and I’m in no rush to sign. The time will come but at the moment I’m pretty comfortable where I am.
“Contracts are meant to run all the way to the end… you don’t have to sign it with a year to go, you don’t have to sign it with two years to go. It’s a matter of time when you feel comfortable and when you’re ready to do it.”
