As tipped by Mark Bickley, Port Adelaide have signed delisted Gold Coast defender Trent McKenzie.
On Thursday Trent said:
“Port Adelaide has great appeal for me. On-field they play a high energy, exciting brand of football and off-field I’m looking forward to being reunited with Ken Hinkley and working with their high-performance team to ensure I can get the best out of my ability,” said McKenzie.
“Right now though, I just can’t wait to start at the club and look to win the respect of my teammates, coaches and the Port Adelaide supporters over the upcoming pre-season.”

On Wednesday, Bicks said Trent would be a great pick up for the Power:
“I think that’s a really good move.
“He can certainly play the game, he’s played 100 AFL games, he’s only 26, he’s got a point of difference about him with his kick.
“Do they absolutely need him? I’m not sure. I think they’ve got plenty of half back flankers but who knows. He’s a very good depth player.”
