Premiership captain and FIVEAA’s own Mark Bickley says Adelaide’s season is done.
“Adelaide’s dream of getting back to a Grand Final and potentially having another crack at it are gone,” Bicks has told Fox Sports.
“They are not going to make the finals this year.”
“Their draw is really tough and they’ve pretty much got to win six or seven of the last nine games and they’ve lost their last four.
“Unless the Crows pull off something dramatic… they are going to be in real trouble come the back half of the year, and won’t be battling it out come September.
“Injuries you can put down for so much, in terms of poor form, but there’s still plenty of experienced players out there that are really struggling.
“When you watch that team, it was just a shadow of the team that played last year. There seems to be no spirit, no energy, no intensity about them and that’s as big as issue as the injuries as well, so injuries yes they’ve had them but clearly there’s a spirit and morale problem as well.”
