Malcolm Blight has not held back after Don Pyke admitted a selection error before last week’s loss to Collingwood, with Blighty even recommending the coach fine himself.
“I heard Don Pyke say we went too tall on reflection,” Blighty said on FIVEAA.
“You can’t do that as a coach. I could’ve told him last Thursday, you could’ve told him, and anyone that watches in the last two minutes would realise that was too tall. I am astounded…
“Do you know what I would do? I would fine myself. Don Pyke: fine him, fine all the coaches that agreed to this and give all the money to charity. That is rubbish. I am serious.
“You can’t make that mistake at this level… I hope he stood up in front of the group before he bagged any player and said, ‘I am wrong.’
“I’ve done that and you have to sometimes when you’re wrong.”
