Aussie Rules great Malcolm Blight was left shaking his head over Jake Lever’s recent media comments after the former Crow joined the Demons.
Lever was recorded eagerly talking up his decision to leave Adelaide.
“What about that,” Blighty said on FIVEAA. “Why did you say it’s great to be home? He’s actually thrown some petrol onto the fire. It just reeks of self-importance. I reckon he’s got to be more humble or choose his words better.”
“The footy god can sometimes get you. I just hope that he goes on and has a successful career at a Melbourne. That’s fair enough… but choose your words better than that.
“It’s throwing petrol.”
