Kane Cornes has ripped into Adelaide FC over the club’s decision not to speak on Monday following its loss to Hawthorn on the weekend.
“It’s the players day off — we get that — they’re going to have four days off so the club’s not speaking to the media until Friday,” Kane said on FIVEAA.
“That is unacceptable for a footy club not to put a spokesman up and explain the performance, explain the year. This is a side that has gone from a Grand Final to missing the eight and you are not putting anyone up.
“If it’s not a player it needs to be Andrew Fagan… it can be with anyone. It can be with Rowey and Bicks, it can be with the TV networks. For them not to put someone up whether its Don Pyke, whether it’s Andrew Fagan, whether it’s Brett Burton, Rob Chapman — I don’t care…
“Someone from that club had to speak. They say there’re not speaking until Friday, which is a disgrace.”
