Writing about the Power squad for foxsports.com.au, footy reporter Riley Beveridge says the club’s forward line has benefited most from a post-season recruiting bonanza.
“It’s reasonable to argue that Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley now has the league’s strongest forward line at his disposal,” Beveridge wrote.
“Charlie Dixon kicked a career-high 49 goals last season, while Robbie Gray chipped in with 47 goals. Justin Westhoff played higher up the field, averaging 19.2 disposals per game.
“But that strong trio will now be bolstered by the additions of Jack Watts, Steven Motlop and Tom Rockliff — all experienced off-season recruits that will slot straight into the forward six.
“Watts can be the link man… He’s kicked 60 goals from his last two seasons.
“Motlop has also kicked 60 goals in the last two years… Rockliff is another genuine goalkicker.”
They were the off-season's biggest player. And now, they might possess the league's most potent forward line. Here's why.
