Caroline Wilson says Ken Hinkley could be earning up to $1 million a year on his new deal with Port Adelaide.
Caro revealed on Footy Classified:
“He had a very generous offer already on the table from Port Adelaide… a huge amount, a big offer, at least $900k… which Gold Coast could not come near to matching — close to a million dollars a year.
“That offer has now clearly been ramped up because of the insecurity Ken felt.”
Co-star Matthew Lloyd wondered whether the deal was good value for the club:
“He’s finished ninth three years ago, tenth last year, he hasn’t won a final again this year — yet he ends up with four years.”
