FIVEAA’s Stephen Rowe has called on the Adelaide Crows to tell their supporters “what’s wrong” after the team was blown out of the water during their game against Hawthorn on Saturday.
“I know there are eight first choice players out and that’s 99 per cent of the problem,” Rowey said on Monday. “But that third quarter wasn’t about talent, that was about care, spirit, grunt, resilience, want, mongrel call it what you like.”
“Something is wrong between the connection — player to player, coach to player, player to coach… they’re in a world of pain until they get that part of it right.
“They know what it is. We’ve got our suspicions. I’ve been tiptoeing around the tulips with it. It’s up to the leaders. It’s up to Don Pyke, Andrew Fagan, Brett Burton — they run the football program, they run the club.
“Tell your supporters what’s wrong, what part of your program has failed this playing group. The players just want to play but for whatever reason right now they can’t.”
