Kane Cornes says Adelaide’s reported offer for Cat Steven Motlop is a “slap in the face” for Jake Lever.
Kane has previously said that the Crows put Lever offside with their initial lowball offer, but are now reportedly offering Motlop big money to move to Adelaide.
It is “crazy” Steve Motlop is being offered $600,000 per season by Adelaide, Kane told Trade Radio on Monday.
“I was shocked when I heard that. It’s probably $100,000 more than I’d expect,” Cornes said.
“The Crows are in the box seat now with that kind of money. The Power still have hopes he’ll go there but it would be for much less than that amount of money.
“I’m not even sure Rory Sloane would earn $600-$650,000 at the Adelaide Crows.”
