Adelaide Crow Now Looks Likely To Stay Put

1 min read

Following reports last week he was looking at a possible move to Collingwood, Jake Kelly now appears most likely to stay at the Adelaide Crows.

According to The Advertiser’s Andrew Capel:

“Any interest the Magpies had in 53-game Adelaide defender Kelly — under contract to the Crows for next year — has been put on the backburner after the beaten grand finalist re-signed Tom Langdon, who had been courted by Sydney.

“The Magpies also have switched their attention to star Brisbane midfielder Dayne Beams, who wants to return to the club.”

The Crows will now reportedly focus on a deal to bring Richmond’s Tyson Stengle to the club.

“It’s still a work in progress,” AFC list manager Justin Reid told the paper.

“We’re having good dialogue with Richmond and we’ll work through it over the next 48 hours.

“Young Tyson has probably lacked a bit of opportunity over the last few years given the strength of Richmond’s list and their smalls.

“Tyson adds a bit of speed and goal sense for us and with Eddie getting a little bit older it’s great to have a South Australian who wants to come home.”
