FIVEaa’s Stephen Rowe says he “laughed my gizzards out” when he saw Australia’s short-from squad selections for the upcoming tour.

Rowey told the FIVEaa sports show on Tuesday:

“Australia’s T20 and one day squads were named today for the South African tour. That starts 21 Feb…

“Great news, Alex Carey in -- tick. Kane Richardson -- tick -- and Adam Zampa. That’s three great ins.

“I think the best one for me is Glenn Maxwell, deserved to be back in. But here’s the other one and the big one… Mitch Marsh is back. M Marsh is back and no M Stoinis -- man of the BBL.”

BICKS: “That is the one that is a really interesting one… if you’re rewarding form you would think Stoinis would get a bit of a look in after what he did in the BBL.”

Australia play three T20s against the Proteas on 21, 23 and 26 February before three one-dayers on 29 February, 4 March and 7 March.

One-day squad: Aaron Finch (captain), Alex Carey, Pat Cummins (joint vice-captains), Ashton Agar, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitch Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa.

T20 squad: Aaron Finch (capt), Alex Carey, Pat Cummins (joint vice-captain), Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Mitch Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa.
