Graham Cornes’ Warning About A Young Gun Adelaide Crow

Feb 11, 2020

The growing push for a new AFL team spells trouble for Adelaide FC’s hopes of keeping a prize recruit, says Graham Cornes.

Following the release of an “unshakeable business plan to put a team in Tasmania,” Cornesy told Rowey & Bicks on the FIVEaa sports show:

“So somebody tweeted, and I didn’t think of this, it would be just our luck at the Crows -- they develop Chayce Jones from Tasmania, turns out to be another Patrick Dangerfield, and he goes back to captain Tasmania. It could happen."

BICKS: “It’s at least five years away. They need to get five really good years out of him before that happens.”

CORNES: “He’s going to be in his prime then. It’s Patrick Dangerfield all over again, you wait and see.”

Jones was taken by the Crows with pick No.9 in the 2018 national draft.
