Inaugural Adelaide Crows coach Graham Cornes has called for calm and clipped his old on air partner Stephen Rowe as disappointment with the club reaches boiling point.

Cornesy said on Monday’s FIVEaa sports show:

“Just settle down everybody. It’s just getting out of hand, it’s getting hysterical. Rowey, you’re as much to blame as anybody else the way you carry on -- ‘People have rung me, and I know this, and I know that.’ It’s never as bad as what people think it is, and similarly it’s never as good as anyone thinks it is.

“There’s problems and it doesn’t mean we can’t be critical, but we’re not calling for people to be sacked. The trouble is with social media we get these hashtags -- anyone anonymously can start them up and 'sack this person and sack that person'. It gathers momentum of its own…

“Don Pyke is not going to be sacked. He might have to look at how things are done and they may have to re-structure.”
