Caroline Wilson has called on AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan to dash to the Gold Coast following a “chaotic 24 hours” which saw the Suns lose captain Tom Lynch while more players appear to be lining up to leave.

“I’ve got some sympathy for the Gold Coast,” Caro told FIVEaa. “I think they are a basket case and I think they’re in big trouble.”

“I still feel very strongly the AFL chief executive needs to go up there and calm the horses a bit and explain how committed the AFL is to this footy club.

“At the moment, when you’ve got the second captain gone and a third on the way out and other players looking like they want to go as well -- and I don’t care what anyone says, there are managers telling everyone that their boys don’t want to go to the Gold Coast.

“I’ve never seen a situation this dire… it’s a terrible situation.”
