Adelaide Crows star Brad Crouch says he would “love to re-sign” with the club before round one next year but is expecting “a long process” before any deal is done.

Crouch has told the FIVEaa sports show:

“100 per cent I want to stay here, I love it here, absolutely love it here.

“I love the footy club and am just hoping I can get a deal that works for both me and the footy club.

“I’ve been talking to the club, have started negotiations with them, but it will probably be a long process. I’ve got no idea when it will be done.

“If the deal was what we both wanted I would love to re-sign before round one, but I’m not sure that will happen.”

FIVEaa’s Stephen Rowe said it was now up to the club to get a deal done to keep the star midfielder.

“Brad Crouch says I love Adelaide, I want to stay at Adelaide,” Rowey told FIVEaa Breakfast on Friday. “Over to you, Crows, to put a deal in front of him.”

“He’s a free agent at the end of next season. I hope we don’t have, ‘Is he, is he not going’… he has put his roots down in this state, wants to stay here.

“That was great news.”
