A former Adelaide Metro employee has contacted FIVEaa’s Leon Byner with info about a Monday night assault on local bus driver.

Steve Lucas told Leon on Tuesday morning:

“It’s disturbing to say the least…

“As I understand it the female driver from last night, she was assaulted by an offender who has assaulted her previously -- so he’s got form. She called for assistance last night. Apparently it took four officers to restrain this individual.”

Mr Lucas said the max sentence for assaulting a bus driver was 25 years.

“I don’t think this individual -- who has previous form -- has served one day in prison. I’m not sure what penalty he received last time -- obviously it’s not working.”
