David Koch says he believes it’s wrong for Derryn Hinch to use parliamentary privilege to name convicted paedophiles.

“I’m torn between this,” Kochie tells FIVEaa brekky ...

“It depends on your own views on this, but I must admit I just don’t think it’s right to use parliament.”

LISTEN HERE:

“I have a lot of sympathy for Derryn’s cause … in terms of paedophiles and sex offenders, but to use parliament’s privilege for anything -- not just his issue but for other issues as well -- I just don’t think its right,” Kochie said.

“To use the privilege of parliament -- which is the seat of our democracy -- to do something where outside of that house would be against the law … that just doesn’t sit comfortably for me.

“Because it can be used as a precedent for a whole lot of other outings which I think is contrary to what Australia stands for.”
