ON MONDAY …

An 84-year-old Clarence Park woman named Dorothy is vowing she will not be beaten by the criminal who broke into her home and assaulted her last week.

“I’m not going to be defeated,” Dorothy tells FIVEaa breakfast.

A 32-year-old woman has been charged over the attack.

“I will not have her defeat me. The only way to do that is face my fears and get on with life as normally as I possibly can,” Dorothy says.

LISTEN HERE:

“I’m thankful she didn’t have a weapon. I’m thankful I’m still alive. I’m getting on with my life … I will not let her defeat me.

“I’m not going to live in a paranoid state. I’m getting on with my life and I’m going to enjoy it.”

And has the incident made Dorothy consider going into aged care?

“The hell I would!”
