There’s A Plan To Break A Holden World Record Here In South Australia

Holden owners are being encouraged to sign up to help break a world record for the most Holdens in convoy as part of this year’s OTR The Bend 500 event.

FIVEaa Breakfast’s David Penberthy said during Thursday’s Breaking @ 8 segment:

“This is a great thing… this year’s 2020 OTR The Bend 500 is being billed as a Holden tribute.

“What they’re looking at doing is celebrating Holden’s contribution to Australian culture… they’re hoping to break the world record for the most privately owned Holdens in convoy and in one place. The idea is if you’ve got an HR or an FX or a Kingwood station wagon or a Sandman or a Commodore SLE or a Brock Commodore, any of these excellent cars -- a Torana -- what you do is you jump on The Bend website and register that you’re going to participate.

“They’re going to have a special cruise from Adelaide up to Tailem Bend, so you’re going to have this entire convoy of Holdens. Then there will be a show and shine... and everyone can have a look at the different cars on the Saturday of the event.”
