Premier Steven Marshall says the Liberal Party will wait to see the outcome of an investigation into the behaviour of Sam Duluk at a Christmas party last year before making a call on his future in the party.

Mr Marshall told David & Will on Tuesday’s FIVEaa Breakfast:

“There’s a process underway and we should get a result in the coming weeks...

“The process is that the speaker has appointed somebody to look into the matter, to speak to people, find out exactly what happened, and as soon as we get that will have much greater idea of what occurred.”

Asked whether the Liberals would disendorse Mr Duluk, the premier said “that’s a matter for the party”.

“We’ve got a membership of that party and that would be something that would happen through state executive or state council,” he said.

“But I think we’re a long way from that. I think what we first need to do is have this investigation find out exactly what’s happened and then we’ll be in a better position to move forward.”
