Claims the School Strike 4 Climate movement is “kid-driven” are seriously doubtful, says David Penberthy.

Penbo said during Wednesday’s FIVEaa Breakfast’s Breaking @ 8 segment:

“I totally, totally support the idea of protesting about climate change. I have no qualms with kids being involved, but the two issues I have with it go to its timing and they also go to the fact this protest does seem to be a highly party political one which is being organised by unions who are intent on landing political blows on the Morrison government.

“It is the biggest pile of hooey I have heard in a long time because if you actually look at the Facebook page, Schools Strike 4 Climate… this Facebook page has got links to no less than seven other protests that are coming up here in Adelaide over the net month or so…

“The climate change for kids website is also encouraging school children to attend a protest in the Rundle Mall on Monday March 25th at 6.30pm against Milo Yiannopoulos, protest against the far right… again has the clamour over this emanated from the classroom?

“This one -- Bite Back Day of Action… it’s actually got the Greens logo on it.

“The idea… that these things aren’t being organised by adults and aren’t overtly party political is the biggest pile of nonsense I’ve heard presented to our listeners in a very long time.”
