Neighbours are terrified after multiple shots were fired into an Adelaide house overnight, reports Channel Seven’s Peter Caldicott.

“Quite a shocking attack in the quiet suburb of Westbourne Park just after 2am,” Peter told FIVEaa breakfast on Friday.

“There were multiple shots fired at the front of a house. Neighbours say they initially heard quite clearly a volley of about three shots, a pause, and then probably three or four more shots.

“Fortunately none of the bullets actually penetrated the inside of the house. Police say there was a male resident inside the house, he was the only person present at the time and he was uninjured.

“Obviously residents are terrified by this event… they’re scared. It’s totally out of character for this quiet suburb.

“Fortunately no one was injured, but police are still looking for the gunman who’s at large.”

Police say the shooting was a targeted attack.

“They’re not giving any more details on a motive behind the attack or an identification of a vehicle or a suspect at this stage,” Peter reported.

“Detectives are at the scene. They’re inside the house at the moment talking with the victim. Hopefully they’ll be able to get more information.

“I can se there are cameras on the front of the house, so that might be able to reveal who came by the house early this morning.”
