Apparently A “Polar Front” Is Sweeping Through Adelaide

Dec 2, 2019

Adelaide’s unusually cold and wet start to summer is thanks to an air stream coming from “almost Antarctica”, says the Bureau of Meteorology.

The BOM’s Brett Gage told FIVEaa Breakfast on Monday:

“We’ve got a polar front jet stream coming right up from almost Antarctica so it’s pretty cold.

“Currently 13 in the city -- we’re only heading for a top of 18 and that is about 8 degrees below average for this time of year… way below average.

“We’ve got a shower or two continuing this morning and the early afternoon but we think it should clear up just in time for the start of the cricket and they should get a full day’s play in.”
