FIVEaa’s Stephen Rowe says Adelaide FC’s plan to redevelop the Aquatic Centre has “zero point zero chance” of happening after the city council extend its period of public consultation.

Rowey told FIVEaa Breakfast on Wednesday:

“I’m telling you, I reckon the Crows are going to walk away from this. They’re not desperate and it’s not their only option. The council has voted to extend the public consultation process by three weeks…

“I’m telling you, the Crows can walk away. There’s no question about that.”

“The other thing I want to ask is there’s major development legislation that the state’s got -- where’s the state government on all of this?”

To which David Penberthy offered his reading:

“Hiding under a desk sucking its thumb… because Rachel Sanderson lives in fear of alienating any of the Nimby brigade within the state seat of Adelaide and it’s too important a seat for the Libs to risk. So Steven Marshall is not going to do anything.”
