Charles Sturt Council is “refusing to rule out forcing school rowers to change their schedule” after a “tiny number” of West Lakes residents complained about early morning noise, reports FIVEaa Breakfast’s David Penberthy.

Penbo said during Friday’s Breaking @ 8 segment:

“This is something that has always -- always -- been happening there. At a time when we worry about obesity, about kids doing nothing other than playing Fortnite… it’s an absurdity.

“The good thing is there are heaps of residents who have contacted the council and said, ‘We knew it was here. We’ve got no issues with theses kids. We want it to stay the way it is.’

“But the council is spending about a grand doing a survey of about 800 houses to ask people what they think. The council should not waste its money on that. It should stare these whingers down and say, ‘It’s always been part of West Lakes, and if you don’t like it maybe West Lakes isn’t the area for you.’”
