Why I deserve this position?

I would like to win this position because I feel I have a great eye to capture the best of any destination whether it’s the New York skyline, food in Italy or Kangaroo’s hopping through vineyards. I am extremely passionate about it and I want to inspire people to go to beautiful places around the world. When I was working 2 jobs to save up to go on my recent travels I was constantly inspired by other people’s photos and blogs about travel destinations and I would love to create the same for others.

Why did you chose Fleurieu Peninsula as your favourite travel destination?

For my favourite travel destination for my Round 2 entry I thought it was only fitting that I capture our backyard secret that is the Fleurieu Peninsula. We are so lucky to have such easy access to many so many beautiful regions in our State but the Fleurieu Peninsula really takes the cake for me, did I mention it’s less than an hour from the CBD. Picture rugged coastline, national parks, sunburnt farmland and vineyards with ocean views. Whether it’s hiking, exploring preserved bushland, checking out the Kangaroos in the vineyards, reclining on its beaches or tasting some of Australia’s most celebrated wines and gourmet produce, the Peninsula is low-key, outdoor epicurean heaven. It would be fantastic for a South Australian to get this internship that is being internationally recognised. To showcase the world my favourite travel destination which is the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia would just be the icing on the cake. I feel like an ambassador for South Australia it’s such a great opportunity to show the rest of the world what we have to offer here in South Australia.

So Laura what are the next steps?

It would be amazing if all of your listeners would take a moment to vote for me!! There were over 10,000 entries and here we are now down to the Top 25 and I would just be so thrilled to make it in to the Top 5 but I need your help to get there! Getting through to the Top 5 would secure me an interview to decide the winner for the travel internship. It would be fantastic for a South Australian to get this internship that is internationally recognised.

OK Laura how do they vote?
