Utah Jazz forward and Adelaide-born Joe Ingles has won a fan for life after he dug into his own pocket to help out a young blind boy.

Landon Carter -- seven years old and legally blind -- was born with a condition that makes everything appear blurry. He was at a game helping the Jazz test a pair of glasses designed to help vision-impaired fans when Joe decided to fork out the $10,000 so Landon could have his own pair.

Joe said:

“Seeing him at the game, seeing how excited he was to be able to see the court and players... as soon as I met him on the court, which I probably shouldn’t have been thinking about it, but I was like, ‘I’m going to do this.'"

The glasses use a system called eSight where a high-speed and high-def camera captures whatever the user looks at and displays it on two LED screens.
