Adelaide Crows chairman John Olsen joined the FIVEAA Sports Show as the club continues to grapple with the re-ignited fallout from the infamous 2018 pre-season camp – here are the biggest takeaways.
FULL INTERVIEW HERE:
1. Plans to meet with Eddie Betts
“We’ve issued an apology to Eddie and Josh [Jenkins],” Olsen told Rowey and Timmy G. “I’ve been in contact with them and I look forward to catching up with Eddie in the not-too-distant future for a coffee.”
2. Others welcome to come forward
“Absolutely. We know about Eddie and Josh. Bryce [Gibbs] has expressed also some concern. If there is any other member of staff or player that has been adversely affected by the camp please call Tim [Silvers] or myself and we’d be more than happy to open up a discussion and dialogue.”
3. Pending class action?
“So-called class action – that’s a hypothetical. I just deal with the facts that are on the table…”
4. Mark Ricciuto out?
“That’s not on the agenda.”
5. Board knowledge
“My investigations have indicated that the board prior to that camp were not across – and it wasn’t presented to the board, nor was there sign-off… clearly the board didn’t have visibility of the camp and the components of the camp.”
